This itinerary gives you the opportunity to visit all the most significant places in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you will be able to appreciate the magnificent work that the Incas did in stone.

You will also have the opportunity to interact with the local people and enjoy the mountainous landscapes that surround the sacred valley, with its glaciers, rivers and the friendly people who live in the ancestral valley.

For example, you will make a stop in Chinchero to visit the Inca ruins, a colonial temple and a local family to learn about Andean textiles, then you will go to Moray to visit the circular terraces, Salineras de Maras, then you will visit the largest archaeological center in the sacred valley which is Ollantaytambo then we go to Pisac and then we return to Cusco.

  • Cusco General Tourist Ticket: The BTC allows tourists to access parks and archaeological sites such as: SAQSAYHUAMAN, QENQO, PUKA PUKARA, TAMBOMACHAY, PISAQ, OLLANTAYTAMBO, MORAY, CHINCHERO, TIPÓN, PIKILLAQTA, and places such as: MUSEUM OF FOLK ART, QORICANCHA SITE MUSEUM, REGIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM, MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART, MONUMENT TO THE INCA PACHACÚTEC, and the QOSQO INDIGENOUS ART CENTER.duration:

    Prices:
    Adult foreign tourists pay 130 soles, foreign student tourists or children pay 70 soles, adult Peruvian tourists pay 70 soles, and student tourists pay 40 soles
  • Partial Tourist Ticket for Cusco: It is possible to purchase a partial tourist ticket for Cusco, that is, depending on the sites you wish to visit. To do so, you must choose between the following three circuits:
    Circuit I
    This ticket is valid for one day and allows you to visit the archaeological sites on the city tour, which are: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Pukapukara.
    Circuit II
    This ticket is valid for two days and allows you to visit the six museums located in the historic center of Cusco and the southern valley, which are: Tipón, Piquillaqta, and the museums of Cusco.
    Circuit III
    This ticket is valid for two days and allows you to visit the main archaeological sites located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. These are: Chinchero, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and Pisaq.Prices: Adult foreign tourists pay 70 soles, foreign student tourists or children pay 70 soles, adult Peruvian tourists pay 40 soles, and student tourists pay 40 soles.
  • Entrance to the salt flats: Direct payment to Maras residents at a price of 25 soles per person.

Don’t lose them or get them wet, as these tickets are non-replaceable and photographs are not accepted. If you lose it, you will have to buy a new one.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco | Chinchero - Moray - Maras Salt Mines - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Pisac - Pisac Artisan Market - Cusco

  • 📍🚐 Pickup at your hotel or Airbnb (from 6:10 a.m. to 7:10 a.m.)
    The tour begins between 6:10 and 7:00 a.m. We will pick up each passenger at their hotel or Airbnb according to the schedule sent via WhatsApp the day before.
  • 🚐 Drive to Chinchero
    Our first stop is Chinchero, approximately 45 minutes from Cusco. Here, your guide will take you through Inca archaeological remains, a colonial church, and a traditional weaving demonstration by a local family, where you’ll learn how natural dyes and Andean techniques are still used today.
  • 🏛️ Explore Moray
    Next, we head to Moray, known for its impressive circular agricultural terraces. You’ll learn how the Incas used these structures as an experimental farm and enjoy time to take photos and explore the site.
  • ⛏️ Visit the Maras Salt Mines
    A short drive takes us to Maras, where you’ll visit the famous salt mines, still in use today. Learn about the salt-harvesting process, admire the unique landscape, and browse small stalls offering handcrafted salt products.
  • 🍽️ Buffet Lunch in Urubamba
    At around 12:30 p.m., we’ll stop in Urubamba, a charming town nestled in the valley, for a buffet lunch featuring Peruvian cuisine with options for all dietary preferences.
  • 🏯 Discover Ollantaytambo
    After lunch, we’ll continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most important archaeological sites in the valley. Your guide will walk you through the Temple of the Sun, Inca terraces, and water channels. You’ll finish around 3:00 p.m., with the option to end your tour here if you’re continuing by train to Machu Picchu.
  • 🏞️ Final Stop – Pisac
    We then head to the Pisac archaeological site, known for its extensive terraces and panoramic views. Your guide will explain the site’s significance and give you time to take photos and explore the area.
  • 🚌 Return to Cusco
    After exploring Pisac, we’ll begin the drive back to Cusco, arriving at Plaza Regocijo between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m..
