Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Ccatca - Pacchanta - Comercocha - Azulcocha - Pacchanta - Cusco

  • 🚐 Hotel Pick-Up (4:20 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.)
    Your day begins with pick-up from your hotel or airbnb in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 am. Get comfortable as we drive into the picturesque Andean highlands.
    We will drive for approximately 3 to 3.5 hours to the village of Pacchanta, the starting point of the trek, where a hearty breakfast will be served.
  • 🍞🍌 Nutritious and energetic breakfast for the Peruvian Andes.
    You will have light options to avoid altitude sickness, it is also highly recommended to drink coca tea, it will give you the energy of an Inca.
  • 🥾🚶🏼🚶🏼‍♀️ Start of the walk to the first lake. 
    After breakfast, we will begin our guided excursion with a gentle one and a half hour ascent to reach the first glacial lake, an impressive introduction to the natural beauty of the area where you will see Andean animals such as llamas and alpacas.
  • 🏔️🏞️ Hike with photos in the 7 lagoons of Ausangate.
    From the first lake onward, the remaining six lakes are located along mostly flat or downhill trails, making the exploration comfortable and rewarding. We’ll take time to enjoy the panoramic views of Ausangate, take photos, and learn about the glaciers and local legends from your guide. You can also rent a horse for the entire tour. (not included).
  • 🍽️ Lunch & Thermal Baths with a View
    After the hike, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and then relax in natural hot springs, all while taking in spectacular views of Ausangate Mountain—a perfect way to unwind.
